Moctar Ouane launches the Assises of Cotton.
The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Mr. Moctar Ouane presided over the official opening ceremony of the National Conference on Cotton on Monday, January 18, 2021, under the theme “Together, let’s showcase Mali’s white gold”.
In his speech, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Mr. Mohamed Ould Mahmoud recalled that :
the cotton sector is the backbone of our economy

This sector has gone through four major crises in recent years.
The Head of Government, for his part, stressed the particular importance of this conference.
Mr. Moctar Ouane said that the objective is to find solutions to help revive cotton farming and ensure the resilience and sustainable development of this sector in the country.
